Minimum Order Rule
Make your order minimum part of checkout.
Your operation may need a minimum item count to make an order worth processing. A written policy alone leaves your team handling orders that fall below it.
This checkout rule checks the total unit count in the cart and blocks completion when it is below the minimum. A message explains that the customer needs to meet the threshold.
The check runs through Shopify’s cart validation system, so enforcement does not depend on storefront display code.
The unit threshold and customer-facing message can be set for your store. More specific requirements, such as minimums for selected products, could be scoped as custom rules.
- A minimum total unit count for checkout
- A validation message when the cart is below the minimum
- Checkout blocked until the threshold is met
- Enforcement through cart validation
